PAINTERS FOR ECOLOGICAL TOWN IN CUW CAMPAIGN

With the message of Nis artists OUR PLACE, OUR PLANET, OUR RESPONSIBILITY, successfully was celebrated the activity of world ecological movement Clean up the World 2012 which was with the sponsorship of Palilula Municipality is promoted of EKOpolis net. We have been for ten years part of world ecological movement that also during this weekend of CUW campaign gathered over 40 million volunteers in 140 countries of the world – emphasized Dragan Vidojkovic, national coordinator of the campaign and leader of EKOpolis. Clean up the world is not only unique activity bur also check of our ecologic consciousness and responsibility of the community for its own life surrounding. Our activities cannot be measured only by tones of garbage bur also with the degree of raised consciousness on actual ecological problems we are facing today – it is said in Media ecological net of Serbia EKOpolis that is also the coordinator of the whole ecological initiative.

Young painters Zvonko Milojevic, Miomira Ristic, Martina Bozilovic, Mihajlo Puzic, Zoran Randjelovic, Milena Andjelkovic, members of Media EKOpolis net and Multimedia association of the artists `Car Konstantin` on the occasion of world ecological campaign Clean up the world 2012 promoted graduation works that were defended on Art academy of the Institute Ekoman undern the mentorship of Milivoje Novkovic and professor Mr. Slavoljub Todorovic-Zorkin. The themes were `Tamed Wilderness`, `Auto-portrait auto-analyses`, `Stimulation synergy of space composition`, `Portrait in painting`,` Water, air and soul over the prism of abstraction and religion`, `Shapes and soul` that were all presented and exposed in Gallery of Nis cultural center (from September 17) reveal opinions and problems of artists on actual global climate changes, nature, man as a cause and effect of the appearance of problems on our Planet. This performance and tribune that took place after it are only few of many other ecological events of our ecologists, artists, explorers, green movements of Serbia, members of Rotary Club Nis – Naissus, professors that last weekend from September 14 to 16 took place in our community and all over Serbia.

CEW campaign was started by Austrailian Jan Kirnan who after the participation in the the race around the world in 1986/1987. Kirman was hit with polution of the ocean. After going back to

Sindey he decided to do something and start the action of cleaning Australia, country where he was born. During the last years, this action came to global world ecologic campaigns. Thanks to the initiative of the scouts of Serbia and members of EKOpolis, Serbia and Nis from 2003 are on the planetary map of this ecologic movement. Since 2006 signing of the protocol on regional cooperation Palilula Municipality took over the auspices.

Jubilee - ten years of Clean up the World activities in our surrounding were under the moto our place, our planet, our responsibility. It is unique movement, where local surrounding estimates its needs and possibilities of implementation of activities. Here one see in work the degree of the community development and readiness of individuals to participate in it. This movement in Serbia since 2006 after the signing of regional understanding on cooperation has the working place in Palilula Municipality. The possibilites for action of volunteers this year also were limitless. They were limited only by the needs of local communities and organizational comiteees. New local governments, after the elections, have not still realized necessary initiative and share the full support to this citizen initiative.
